Doggyphobia is a class designed specifically to help people overcome their fear of dogs in a safe, supportive, and controlled environment.
Do you know someone that is afraid of dogs? That’s a tough thing to be with so many dog-friendly places these days. That’s why I designed a class specifically for people that are afraid of dogs. It’s called Doggyphobia and it’s designed to help people that are “doggyphobic” to get past their fears in a safe and controlled environment. If you know someone that I can help, feel free to contact me, and I promise not to throw anyone to the dogs!
Tip of the Month
Have you checked your dog for fox tails lately? Fox tails are certain kinds of grasses that have bushy spikes that look like a fox’s tail. Fox tails can become lodged into a dog’s skin, nostrils, or ears, and dig deep enough that you can’t pull them out. In fact, sometimes the only indication that there is a problem is if the dog is shaking his/her head, scratching at his/her ears, or showing signs of pain. If your dog is showing signs that something is wrong, see your vet. This time of year, there’s a great chance that it’s a fox tail.
Training Tip of the Month
Does your dog have a tendency to sit on your foot or lean on your leg? If your answer is yes, this is a behavior you want to stop now. It’s called social recruiting and it could lead to owner possessiveness and fear behaviors. When the dog leans on you or sits on you, simply move away so he/she is not touching you. Be consistent and your dog will get the message.
